I know you probably have questions about what counseling is all about. Sometimes it is hard to make that first phone call not knowing what to expect or even what to ask. Here are a few answers to common questions I get asked by clients. Feel free to call me at (209) 602-1513 with other questions!

I find that working with insurance companies leads to a third party dictating the duration of our work together, and how we work together. In many cases, insurance requires a mental health diagnosis, which is not appropriate in all cases and can have long standing consequences. Working without insurance increases your privacy, and gives you the utmost choice and control over your healing process.

I do not provide billing for insurance. I will provide you with a receipt for payment you can use to seek reimbursement from your insurance company. Not billing for insurance allows me to keep my fees lower, and leaves me more time for doing what I love, seeing clients.
